Christmas concert via the talented Ashley!

Ashley's second show choir performance was delightful!  Hours and hours of practice with the kids focusing on wonderful Christmas songs.  Parents, teachers and students simply adore her even when she has to be stern on occasion :)  She loves teaching music for all of the students 1st through 5th grades plus her show choir comprised of 3rd - 5th graders.  This program had special piano and violin numbers performed by the kids, a beautiful piece sung while signing, and other awesome Christmas favorites!  We are so proud of the incredible woman she is.  Excellent wife, mother, teacher and of course daughter!

Fun family dinner at Zupas after the concert :)

Baby had to stay home with his sweet baby sitter because after regular bed time
activities is just more excitement than a little guy can take (wink)

Family Fun Night

Family fun night at Heaps, a favorite hangout of our families since I was a little girl :)

Rocking grandpa's reading glasses; his daddy held up the cell phone pic lol

Love birds :)

Our hard working son in Palo Alto and his darling girlfriend; love chatting on the phone and/or Skyping with them but can't wait to see them at Christmas!

Fun October family outings!

Fun family outings with our kidlets in October at a pumpkin patch, trick or treating, playing at the park, Ashley's school performance, etc.
Meet our tiny Olaf from Frozen - he was so darling!

A cute push car we surprised Connor with; it will be great fun to play with as he grows.

Beautiful horses by the lake which reminded me of my grand fathers horse I used to ride
Another fun family night trying out a slide again :)
Ashley teaches grades 2-5th music classes at her school; this is her show choir group she formed and prepared a fun Halloween program for students and families.  The kids sang darling songs with cute hand actions and visual aids.  Ash loves teaching all of the students!

Learning how to go down the slide for the very first time! :)

Bidding our beloved East coast life goodbye and moving to the sunny south-west!

We are relocating to the south-west where sunshine, dry air and palm trees tickle my fancy!  We have excitedly built our new home on paper from the ground up with the help of our engineer and design team!  We've left our East coast traditional behind and have moved into a more spacious, all one level, open concept, soft contemporary interior with some charming shabby chic accents anticipated.  Vaulted ceilings, and several large picture windows with sunshine pouring into the great room and master suite will be greatly enjoyed as they over look the extended patio and upcoming yard.  With Jon's talent in landscape design I'm sure it will once again be very lovely..

We hope to create an inviting environment for our family and friends to enjoy leisurely conversations, sumptuous meals, and festive moments together.  We're counting the days until completion with great anticipation so as to begin this new chapter making magical memories as we have in the past.  In the mean time we are enjoying a treasured opportunity to live with Ashley, Paul, and Connor in northern Utah while our home is being built.  We LOVE being with our wonderful kidlets and adorable little grandson which is such a treat!

Cam the man CONGRATULATIONS!

Congratulations Cameron Jon!! He nailed the position he wanted in Palo Alto, Cali with his company!  He actually leaves the burgh one day before we do. Plus Sarah will be driving cross country with him from Chicago on, and they get to spend one night with Ash & Paul so Sarah can  finally meet them in the flesh!!

We are sure going to miss our incredible son as it's been a memorable year enjoying his upbeat, motivated, cheerful, thoughtful, cleaver self!  It has been such fun meeting up with him for dinner and movies, as well as adventures in Utah and Florida.  This has been a very unique experience for him to be able to move back home to Pittsburgh for his career in finance; he has excelled in his field and thoroughly enjoyed his workplace team.  But with the love of his life wrapping up her degree in California it was time to move on so they can continue to make their eternal plans together.

We are very excited for him and all of his future plans!! What a dream come true living closer to Sarah and in the state where he has longed to be.  So many longed for prayers have been answered for our entire family; words cannot express how very moved I am by all of this.

PS ROAD TRIPS for us all along the California coast in route to visit with our kidlets! :)

Lovely birthday Mrs. Nerdin!

Facebook post ... HAPPY BIRTHDAY my precious daughter and dearest eternal friend! You have brought so much joy into our lives! So many fond memories of raising and loving you our sweet, darling super star! Seeing you grow up to become such a magnificent, loving, caring, brilliant, creative, articulate, stunning, spiritual, thoughtful, devoted, wildly talented woman - so beautiful inside and out - has been a great thrill sweetheart. Daddy and I chose you in Heaven to be our baby doll and our hearts are knitted together with silver threads of love as I like to say. What an interesting journey thus far; it will be extraordinary seeing what you achieve as a loving, devoted, passionate wife, mother, and mentor to countless children in the years to come through your teaching and love of music. Paul and Connor along with all of us are richly blessed to have you in our lives! Enjoy this special celebratory day and when we move out in a few weeks we will all go out and celebrate big time together!! xoxo Ashley babe   PS  Love your two beaus giving you the Cinderella treatment on your evening out; beautiful pink roses and all :)  Also, the darling birthday cards your students drew for you - even your music cart lol :)
