Inhale green and relax!

Sipping a soda on the deck overlooking our dense, leafy green thicket provides a peaceful moment to unwind after a hectic day :)

Cheering for the home boys!

Another exciting 'white out night' at the Pens game; front and center Igloo seats cheering for the boys from the hood as the crowd swings their white towels with zeal! We have a riot at these play off games, and enjoying some of the best Polish dogs in the league smothered in chili & cheese also makes for great date night fun. Go Pens!

School's ... OUT for SUMMER! la-lalala

WOOT WOOT ... We've come a long way from the proverbial one room school house my grandparents Stephen & Maggie Beck attended, back in the day, compared to the present! (my photo is of a landmark, one room school house, built in the early 1800's here in PA). I'm giving our kids a two clap (= standing ovation lol) for each wrapping up another year of college; Cam at UVU and Ash at Penn State! Cam is an international business major; second language Cantonese (Chinese) with a distinct interest in entrepreneurship possibilities and Ashley is a psychology major combined with her continuing passion for music. Michael is considering transferring to Penn State to wrap up his undergrad degree in communications and Emily just passed her Utah boards. It’s a high tech world filled with endless possibilities!

WHITE OUT NIGHT!

We love our Pens hockey team here in the burgh! Seated in the Igloo seats, three rows up from the glass we enjoyed a wild view of the game; Penguins vs., the Philly Flyers in the fifth game of the first series of the playoffs. Pens had a rough night but bounced back winning the sixth game and winning the series!! Gooooo Pens! Most everyone either wears their black & gold team jerseys or the white t-shirts swinging their white towels in the air with excitement throughout the games.

Steelers football fans swing gold towels called ‘Terrible Towels’ based on a famous sports announcer here in the burgh whose son has autism; so he created the terrible towel as a means to gain revenue for the autism society. As such as Pens fans, as well, we swing our white towels which distinctly create a a unified presence during ‘white out nights’. It was a terrific night until an inebriated rogue impatiently bumped into our car attempting to get out of his parking space; what a fiasco that turned out to be! Regardless, Pens rock and we look forward to their ongoing success. (White out night = Penguins/Igloo/ice/cold, lol, get it??)
