A magical wedding story!

 









   







 

An incredible, fanciful wedding reception indeed!  Countless dear family and friends galore from several states were in attendance bringing best wishes of happiness for the newlyweds … mama tied our daughters pink sash gently around the waist of Ashley's exquisite, lace wedding gown with tear filled eyes and a heart filled with joy … a breathtaking bride was adorned with her crystal bracelet , earrings, tiara, and pink sparkly bows on her shoes, along with her mama’s blue sapphire ring (as her something old)… adorable bridesmaids clothed in elegant, mauve dresses pampered the bride which included  Ashley's dear friend from home who out ran snowstorms while crossing the country in order to attend her ‘sisters’ special event … A handsome groom and his killer blue eyes eagerly awaited his bride … a dad and brother filled with pride and a twinge of emotion tugging at their heart strings looked adoringly at their Ashley babe  … beautiful hand held bouquets  along with other mantle and table bouquets of varying shades of pink roses made a lovely statement  … shabby chic pennants, clothes line quotes, whimsical peppermint pink striped pinwheels, gauzy chair bows, bridal photos hanging from shimmering pink ribbons dangled from wall sconces, and crystal fairy lights strung inside and out created a festive yet elegant atmosphere … crepe chefs were standing at attention to entertain and serve hungry guests along with slices of melt in your mouth wedding cake and steaming cups of hot cocoa were enjoyed by all … a musical, video montage of Ashley and Paul growing up and then growing together played on a flat screen for the enjoyment of the guests … a beautiful pale pink, four layer cake mirrored the brides gown with a Lennox figurine of Belle (Beauty & the Beast) standing next to the silver base given to her by her daddy for ‘one day’ when she would meet the man of her dreams and marry … a shabby chic vignette ‘The Bungalow Brides’ depicting Jon and I when we held our own  wedding festivities at The Bungalow (owned by my fairy god-mother Jane) back in the day which consisted of wedding photos of then and now, and an engagement photo of Ashley and Paul kissing (as they have said, is in tribute to a similar one shot of Jon and I) was dear to our hearts … a delightful program consisting of we four parents presenting an interactive tribute written by mama for our kidlets with an imaginary pixie stix, smiling send off by all in attendance … Ashley singing a treasured song to Paul that she has saved in her heart for years for only her future husband to hear on their special wedding day … Paul’s emotion was written all over his face … A daddy-daughter dance to a treasured Beatles song “There Are Places I Remember”; one of many songs Jon has sung to Ash since she was a little girl; and mama standing by deeply touched as Jon began to sing the song to his little girl while they swayed to the music … A sweet mother-son and then bride and groom dance followed with Paul’s fingers lovingly intertwined encircling his new brides waist holding her forever close … a photo booth for everyone to enjoy throughout the evening so as to create zany, fun pictures was another big hit; one for the guest book and the other to keep … Ashley’s friend a professional photographer captured every precious moment of the enchanted evening, and a videographer filmed the reception for a family keepsake … a very dear grandmother and adopted grandmothers (great aunts) photo was shot along with memory vignettes (displays) of both Ashley and Paul’s childhood’s consisting of story books, photos,  baby shoes and tiny jeans; pink ballet slippers, pink size 1 cowgirl boots and other trinkets tickled our guests … darling pink and blue rock candy on a stick wrapped in cellophane with tags reading “The sweetest way to end the sweetest day” for guests to take home as a memento of a simply magical wedding … and then amid flaring sparklers held by family and friends on a cold winters eve Mr. and Mrs. Nerdin climbed into their Cinderella carriage and waved goodbye to all in whom they adore as they began their exciting new life together … Two are now one!    We love you kidlets!  xoxo  (more photos will be forthcoming)
