What a blessing our son Cameron has been in our lives! The day he was born was a dream come true, a prayer answered ten years in the waiting. We never doubted that the Lord would one day bless us with a precious child but it was not an easy wait due to how much we longed to be parents; nevertheless, the wait was worth it as Cameron is an incredible son and human being!
Cam is intelligent, loving, affectionate, spiritual, motivated, creative, accomplished, charismatic, driven, cheerful, compassionate, giving, proactive, and fun loving - he is simply remarkable. I especially love not only the fabulous relationship he has with us but the delightful relationship he has always had with his sister and now with her new husband as well; he has been an extraordinary big brother to Ashley since he was a little boy!
I also love how he treats all people with great respect, lifts people's spirits with his sense of joy and upbeat sens of humor; is dedicated to the gospel of Jesus Christ serving in his callings, attending the temple, etc. and how his optimistic attitude and belief in God have helped him deal with heartbreaking challenges, during his still young life, such as nearly loosing his leg due to a hit and run accident wherein the driver literally left the scene. Cam has suffered greatly, working tirelessly after surgeries which saved his limb but has required daunting effort so as to walk and even run once again! He will forever be in pain but his attitude has never been focused on depression and defeat but rather continuing to live life to the fullest. (One of his favorite quotes - "There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind." - C.S. Lewis
