Cameron and Sarah got hitched! They were married in the Oakland, California LDS temple the end of May and are living blissfully ever after in an adorable bungalow built in the 1920's filled with charm from the era! They live close enough to Sarah's university so that she can walk to class; she is completing her graduate work. Cam drives to Palo Alto to work and returns to his adorable wife and cute little first nest at day's end. :)
We are thrilled to announce their marriage for time and eternity. It was a beautiful day in the Bay area. The sealing room was filled with loved ones and even more family and friends awaited outside for their appearance through the temple doors.
After many family pictures we all celebrated at an elegant luncheon at a beautiful venue overlooking Lake Merritt where we enjoyed visiting, watching a delightful slide presentation of our kidlets growing up, listening to a few words from we the parents and I was able to give Sarah both the adorable bell necklace Jon had given me many years ago which Cam insisted as a child that I save for his wife one day. Also, the adorable thimble I purchased in Hershey, Penn when Cam was a little boy while traveling with me and my mom for a fun outing. The thimble is priceless to me, I've never found one like it since. It has a little boy and girl kissing on top of it and I've kept it in my china cabinet for a wedding gift for he and his wife one day. :)
Cam and Sarah are perfect for one another! Like Cam, she is very self-motivated, spiritual, intelligent, cheerful, adventurous, and fun. We love Sarah very much, she fits into our family so perfectly and she and Cam make the most darling couple. What a beautiful bride and handsome groom they made! We look forward to many more wonderful moments in time with them making terrific family memories together. :)
Note: After we parents sent them off on a romantic gondola ride around the lake they took off on their exciting honeymoon Cam planned and surprised Sarah with (he is always planning and implementing exciting outings and adventures with her). Everyone had an opportunity to guess where in the world he was taking her; her maternal grandmother won the prize for guessing Gilligan's Island lol :) In actuality they flew off to a romantic island in French Polynesia not far from Tahiti where they stayed in a grass hut built out over the water. They could jump off of their balcony into the ocean and swim with sharks and other sea life - a very exciting, romantic honeymoon!
Sarah and Ashley feel like sisters! They have so much in common and enjoy each others bubbly, upbeat, cheerful personalities. Constantly texting and FBing each other has been fun and Sarah simply adores Paul and little Connor who love her right back! :) I also want to add how stunning Sarah looked in her beautiful wedding gown; she is such a beautiful, lovely woman! Cam looked very handsome and quite dashing in his blue suit (no boring black, or tux for him lol), his attire looked very sharp and off set Sarah's gown beautifully.
We as a family hopped in our rental van after all of the delightful festivities and drove into San Francisco for some fun. The evening before our kidlets wedding Cam actually took us to an incredible restaurant in the city for dinner which we all thoroughly enjoyed; it was such fun to relax, laugh, dine and enjoy each others company! The evening after the wedding we met up with our niece Delanie and her husband Jed for a terrific evening. The following day after the wedding we had additional fun at Golden Gate State Park, China Town, driving all over the crazy fun San Francisco streets that Jon and I remembered from our last trip to the Bay area years ago. We all had a blast and made many wonderful memories at the wedding and thereafter. We adore Sarah's entire family and extended family members! Her maternal grandfather performed the sealing and the slide presentation her sister organized still puts a smile on my face :)
